PAIC Statement on Recent Immunization Schedule Updates
The Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition (PAIC) recently issued a statement in response to updates to the CDC immunization schedule announced on January 5, 2026. In this statement, PAIC reaffirms its strong support for the evidence-based, age-appropriate immunization schedules recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. These schedules are developed and reviewed by leading medical and public health experts to protect individuals across the lifespan from vaccine-preventable diseases. PAIC continues to emphasize the importance of routine, age-appropriate immunization across the lifespan—rather than a risk-based approach—for diseases including rotavirus, COVID-19, influenza, meningococcal disease, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and RSV.
